Everyone loves a party.
At Pepper Moon
Catering, we realize the importance of providing new and interesting
hot and cold hors d'oeuvres. Our Executive Chef has come up with
many new, unique items to accompany our classic ones.
The items listed are our most popular selections.
If there is something that you would like our Chef to prepare
exclusively for you, do not hesitate to ask. We will be happy to
do whatever it takes to make your party or reception a success.
We have not listed any prices for the hors d'oeuvres.
Because the price is dependent upon the number of people you will
have at your function, the combination of selections that you
choose and the time of day of your event, it is very difficult
to list a standard price. We suggest that you make a list of the
items that interest you and we will put together a price per person
based upon that list. If you are not satisfied with the price
we will either add, remove or replace items from your original
list. Or, if you prefer, you may tell us the amount of money you
are willing to spend per person and we will customize a menu for
you.
The items marked with an asterisk
(**) denote a passed hors d'oeuvre. These items can be served
on a platter on your buffet OR circulated through the crowd on
a tray carried by a member of our Banquet Staff.
There is no service charge
for non-staffed functions. Any staffed functions are subject to
labor charges and 15% service charge. All functions are subject
to 6.75% N.C. State Sales Tax.
Fresh Seasonal Fruit Display
served with your choice of dipping sauces: brandied custard, caramel cream,

In today's culture it is the host's responsibility
to make her or his event as enjoyable and fun for the guests as
possible. One way to provide a memorable experience is to provide
action. Interactive Stations are those in which the guests become
involved in what they are getting ready to eat by building or
creating their own meal (Our Homemade Garden Station and Mashed Potato Martini Bar).
Action Stations are stations in which the culinary experts entertain your
guests by using their expertise to put together both classic and unique menu selections,
ensuring freshness and eye appeal (many, many options). Read below for new, exciting menu ideas!
Passed Hors d'oeuvres
Add an elegant touch to any event by offering your guests petite bite size hors d'oeuvres served by our waitstaff on uniquely-decorated platters. Choose from any item marked with ** double asterisks.
Homemade Garden Station
Either Interactive or Action, your guests will enjoy this healthy
beginning to any heavy hors d'oeuvres dinner. You will select
two or three of the following salads to be hand-tossed and served
by a member of our culinary team or your guests can fill their
own plate.
Panzanella - chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, capers, kalamata olives,
mozzarella and croutons marinated in balsamic vinaigrette and served over romaine
California Salad - fancy baby greens tossed with fresh berries and toasted almonds
in tangy raspberry vinaigrette, topped with bleu cheese crumbles
Oriental Salad - shredded cabbage with chopped nuts tossed in sesame ginger vinaigrette
Mushroom Salad - fresh sliced buttons with chopped tomatoes, bacon and cheddar tossed lightly
in creamy bleu cheese, drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette
Mashed Potato Martini Bar
A Pepper Moon Signature!
Your guests will fill their own martini glass with our fluffy mashed potatoes.
They will create their personal potato sundae with toppings to include:
chopped ham, bacon, shredded cheddar, shredded smoked gouda, smoked salmon, chopped peppers,
scallions, homemade salsa, sour cream, sautéed mushrooms and whole green olives.

Fish Tacos
This is a unique action station and a great seafood option!
Fried catfish served on a 4-flour tortilla with shredded lettuce, homemade jalapeño tartar sauce,
chopped red onion and fresh cilantro.
Short Plates
Watch a Pepper Moon Chef create beautiful mouth-watering petite entrees and desserts specially for
each individual guest with elaborate sauces and garnish. Short plates are served on a variety of unique small vessels!

Steamed Wontons
A Crowd Pleaser!
Pepper Moon's homemade Duck and Traditional Pork Wontons steamed tableside in
authentic Oriental bamboo steamers, accompanied by hoisin sauce and sweet chili sauce.
Upscale your station with authentic Oriental décor complete with pagoda, parasols and bamboo.
Oyster Shucking Station
A great action station sure to please seafood fans! A Chef will shuck
fresh oysters directly in front of your guests. The oysters will be served
on the half shell and complemented with homemade cocktail sauce, blackened
serrano mayonnaise or Tabasco sauce. Lemon wedges are served on the side.
Carving Stations
Pick any of our whole meats to be carved on-site for your guests. A chef
will thinly-slice any of our meat selections. Due to special temperature
preferences of your individual guests, this is a great way to serve beef.
If your guests prefer their tenderloin medium-rare it can be cut from the middle,
well-done can be sliced from the ends. The meats are accompanied by assorted cocktail
rolls and our hearty bread selection as well as appropriate sauces.
Dessert Sushi
A unique solution to satisfy a sweet tooth - pretty, too.
A sweet rice square topped with a blend of fresh seasonal fruits marinated in
sugar and Cointreau, served with a side of wasabi and topped with shaved white chocolate.

Crepe Flambé Rich chocolate
mousse-filled crepes are pan-sautéed by our Chef. The Chef splashes the
crepe with liquor and ignites the crepe. The bright flame heats the crepe and
the guests finish off the dessert with their choice of toppings to include:
caramelized banana sauce, vanilla rum sauce, strawberry coulis or white and dark chocolate shavings.
Pulled Pork Wraps A chef will roll
into flour tortillas Pepper Moon's slow-roasted Pulled Pork with tangy chipotle
sauce and fried onions. Cut on a bias, these treats are a fun twist on North Carolina Barbeque
Sautéed Orzo In a wok over a Bunsen
burner a Pepper Moon chef will sauté black and white orzo with chopped shrimp, diced tomatoes,
garlic, white wine, parmesan and olive oil.
